    Description

1921 Exhibits Geo. H. "Babe" Ruth PSA EX-MT 6. One of six at the EX-MT level with only one copy recorded higher, a half grade EX-MT+ 6.5. "Babe" had been a Yankee only two years in 1921 when his talents brought the Yankees to the World Series, the first of almost 50 appearances in the teams' gloried history. This surprisingly strong copy shows very little evidence to expose the fact it is almost 90 years old. There is truly nothing about this card to contradict the PSA assessment. One of a very small percentage of Ruth cards depicting the great Bambino without his keepsake bat in hand. It is certainly possible that the population count of six at the EX-MT level is due to resubmission as this is one rare card to find over the VG 3 level.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
