1914 Cracker Jack Joe Jackson #103 PSA Good 2. Joe Jackson is one the game's greatest hitters. He is pictured for what would be his last full season with Cleveland before his fateful move to Chicago. So perfect that he wields his trusty Black Betsy gripped tightly in his calloused farm boy hands. His trusted bat even guides the eye to the "Cracker Jack Ball Players" advertising. With no mail-in promotion available, finding cards totally void of the sticky candy extract grading Excellent or better is a monumental task. We should also note the scarcity of the 1914 series overall compared to the '15 edition.

Graded PSA Good 2, one of eight graded Good from PSA. This is from a small sampling of only 33 reviewed by the PSA staff. Corner wear is evident but only modest. Staining from the All-American snack is present only mildly affecting overall visual appeal. Surfaces are free of any loss. The rich colors of the nicely centered graphics have held up well for the last century-plus. A solid example of one of the more important 20th century cards. How many of these 1914 versions were tossed after the 1915 edition appeared? Apparently quite a bit more than a few as the 1915 version been submitted 3-times more often as the 1914 entry and this card is likely to be graded regardless of condition.
