    Description

1912 T227 Honest Long Cut Ty Cobb PSA VG-EX 4 - Only One Higher. There truly is little we can say about Ty Cobb that hasn't been put to print. He is a baseball legend who in the decade from which this card appeared saw one man amass 1,897 hits, score over 1,000 runs, steal 526 bases and bat .383 and even hit 41 home runs. The Georgia Peach would strike out an average 31 times per season. The MLB average in 2017 was eight strikeouts per game. His cards are treasured additions with his T227 card ranking as one of his finest.

Grades PSA VG-EX 4. One of nine in VG-EX with just one higher. The number of graded T206 Cobb cards is in the thousands. The commanding waist-high portrait of the Georgia Peach is generally considered his best looking card collectible. Colors are simply amazing over a century later. Print registration is precise with central graphics very nicely centered. The back displays "Honest Long Cut tobacco advertising. Any minor condition issues fail to detract from the classic image of the greatest batter of the 20th Century or that the game will ever see.
