1912 T207 Recruit Walter Johnson SGC 80 EX/NM 6 - Pop Two, None Higher.
Among his accomplishments, Walter Johnson is the Major League all-time leader in shutouts and was the American League MVP in 1913 and 1924. His contemporaries recalled his pitches as nearly invisible, arriving with a "swoosh" and smashing into the catcher's mitt like a thunderclap. The mound legend is set off nicely with help from the deep chocolate background for which T207 cards are named after. The back displays a "Recruit Little Cigars" ad. Graded SGC 80 EX/NM 6. His portrait is almost perfectly centered. Both surfaces are largely free of any marring or soiling. One of two for the grade and there are none rated higher.
