1911 M110 Sporting Life Cabinet Ty Cobb SGC 10 Poor 1. For decades, the word "poor" and "great" were never used in the same sentence to describe a card. The two words essentially have the opposite meaning so how could it even be possible? In the age of card slabbing, a new phrase was born of necessity, "This is a great, poor condition card." And it certainly fits the description of this SGC 10 Poor 1 Sporting Life Cabinet of Detroit Tigers legend Ty Cobb. Although M110 cabinet premiums compare in size to the Turkey Reds of the same era, they are much more difficult to find (four times the number of T3 Cobb cards have been graded by SGC) and are much more condition sensitive. These cabinets don't have the added benefit of a thick card stock, they are considerably thinner and almost always found in low grade with every condition ailment possible. This "poor" card has some light surface wear, no creases or wrinkles and corner quality associated with a card in an "excellent" holder. What it does have are four very tiny pin holes (one in each corner) and one at top center border that is the only one readily visible. A technically poor condition collectible that looks great! Yes, we just had to say it. Own an impressive example of one of Cobb's more scarce collectibles.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
