    Description

1910 E98 "Set of 30" Connie Mack SGC 96 Mint 9 - Black Swamp Find, Highest SGC Known!
Over the course of a half century, the Philadelphia Athletics captured five World Series titles under the guidance of Cornelius Alexander McGillicuddy. Connie Mack managed a remarkable 7,755 games with the Philadelphia Athletics and Pittsburgh Pirates, bringing his career to an end at the tender age of 87. Mack appears in very few vintage card sets. Historically, his E98 is among the more challenging cards of him to acquire, particularly in high grade. That just makes the assessment all the more remarkable. Graded SGC 96 Mint 9. This card is one of two at this grade level based on the SGC census report. There are none higher!

    More Information:

In 2012, the most significant trading card find in hobby history emerged from a small Ohio town, neat individual player stacks of untouched cards, each banded by a short length of twine tied by a print shop employee a full century ago. Discovered in an attic in a box long forgotten beneath an ancient dollhouse, these stunningly pristine relics from the Dead Ball Era made their hobby debut in the August 2012 Platinum Night auction in Baltimore, providing the Heritage clientele with an opportunity outpacing even the most fanciful dreams of the pre-war trading card collector. Named for the damp landscape on the edge of Defiance, Ohio, where the cards served their one hundred years of solitude, the Black Swamp Find provides candy card collectors with the opportunity to add a scarce high-grade issue to their collection which was never available before. Most will be offered as complete sets via private treaty sale, so this represents the best opportunity for bidders that are interested in owning an individual card from the Black Swamp Find to add one to their collection now.
