    Description

1910 E93 Standard Caramel Ty Cobb SGC 40 VG 3. It's little surprise that the "Georgia Peach" is the most valuable card in this thirty-card set, though the era of its issue does mark an off-year for him, one of only two seasons in a stretch of thirteen that he didn't win the batting title (Nap Lajoie topped Cobb's .383 average by a single point). Cobb works the leather rather than the lumber in the bold portrait that dominates the obverse of this scarce card which offers deep colors and near perfect registration. The soiled surfaces announce the age of this almost century old relic as does the corner wear (appropriate for the grade). A trio of tiny obverse edge chips and light wrinkles on the reverse are mentioned for accuracy.
