    Description

1909 Ramly T204 Walter Johnson SGC 30 Good 2. Widely considered to be Johnson's rookie, as no other cards dedicated to him predate this issue, this card is likewise the most valuable in the T204 set, which inexplicably fails to include such contemporary legends as Ty Cobb, Cy Young, Christy Mathewson and Napoleon Lajoie. The Ramly set is far more scarce in general than any of the other major tobacco sets issued during the period, and Johnson remains one of its most elusive residents. Though a vertical fold running through Johnson's left ear results in a "Good" grade, one must forgive this flaw in light of the tremendous rarity. Still no shortage of aesthetic appeal here, and certainly no shortage of desirabilty either.
