    Description

1909 E95 Philadelphia Caramel Christy Mathewson PSA NM 7 - Pop Two, None Higher. This simply stunning artifact earns high marks in each and every category of judgment (except spelling), beginning, of course, with the identity of the man it honors. Mathewson entered the Hall of Fame as a member of the inaugural class in 1939. Here, he is captured just before the apex of his storied career, framed against a vibrant vista of gold and green. His face conveys the look of determination that would earn him a third place tie with G.C. Alexander on the career victories chart.

Graded PSA NM 7. One of only two cards graded NM with none rated higher. Joining the most famous (Wagner, Cobb, and Plank, Matty stands as one of the key components from the twenty-five card issue, though this particular representation stands as one of the two finest example on record with PSA of the 142 total (with qualified) cards graded by PSA. The centering is testament to fine American engineering, the colors have retained their rich vibrancy and the surfaces are one small area of print rubbing along a segment of the left border away from blemish-free status. Sharp corners indicate a lonely life mostly free from human touch but the resulting card is the best reward. It's simply one of the finest examples from the E95 Philadelphia Caramel edition, and from most other "E" class promotions as well. A tempting target for the most discriminating of collectors.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am regarding the sale of my hockey jersey. You were great to work with, you answered all my phone calls and e-mails in a prompt manner, and you did a great job marketing the jersey.
