    Description

1909 E92 Dockman & Sons Christy Mathewson PSA NM 7 - Pop One, One Higher. Each of us has been asked at least once why do we collect baseball cards? It wouldn't surprise us if a healthy number of responses cited this card as the reason why. Christy Mathewson, probably one of the best role models a baseball player could ever be is the subject of more than one iconic card. Mathewson appears as a giant (no pun intended) among men, no fence or structure could contain such a legend, only mother nature being worthy to surround "The Big Six" resulting in a portrait fit for museum gala and not a pack of gum. The full-size card offers quality corners, clean surfaces, and rich hues. The lone aspect of slight off-registered inks acts as our only criticism. Graded PSA NM 7, the only card to grade "NM" with PSA, there is just one rated higher.
