1909 Dietsche Detroit Tigers Team Postcard PSA 40 VG 3 - Only Two Graded by PSA. A. C. Dietsche was across from the stadium and also housed a ticket and cigar stand. They also produced post cards honoring the home town Detroit Tigers. The team won the AL pennant in 1907, '08 and 1909, all three October Classics would be losses to the Cubs or Pirates. The rarest of the Dietsche library is the much heralded Ty Cobb "Fielding" variation from 1907. Currently, PSA has graded only two copies. Based on census numbers, this 1909 "Tigers" team postcard is just as rare and upon reflection, when was the last time one came up for sale or auction? This example showcasing the entire Detroit squad has been graded PSA VG 3 and shows the familiar "Copyright and published by A.C. Dietsche, Detroit, Mich. 1909" copyright line. Corners show some wear and there are two creases. It is the highest graded example of only two noted on the PSA census.
