    Description

1909-11 T206 Sweet Caporal 350/30 Hal Chase (Pink Portrait) PSA NM-MT 8 - Pop Three, None Higher for Brand! Of all the characters that make early 20th Century baseball so fascinating, "Prince" Hal Chase is one of the most intriguing. He was slickster who had the ability to be charming, but was anything but princely. After charges of accepting bribes, gambling and throwing games he wore out his baseball welcome. So much so that in 1925, he tried to start a league in Mexico where he owned a cafe. American League president Ban Johnson got the president of Mexico involved and had him deported back to the United States.

High-quality card with a pair of "minty" corners. The back displays "Sweet Caporal - 350 Subjects" advertising with a factory 30 caption. Graded PSA NM-MT 8. Counting all brands, this is one of three in NM-MT with none higher.
