    Description

1909-11 T206 Piedmont 150 Mordecai Brown (Cubs Shirt) PSA NM 7. A childhood farming accident proved to be the ultimate blessing in disguise for the 1949 posthumous Hall of Fame inductee, whose 2.06 career ERA is third best in baseball history after Ed Walsh and Addie Joss. We find him here in the earliest years of a Chicago Cubs World Championship drought blissfully unaware that the glory days were behind him. But this gorgeous tobacco card is still racking up the victories, surpassed only seven times in the full history of the PSA population report. Graded PSA NM 7, one of twenty-four (eight confirmed Piedmont) housed beneath a NM 7 banner. This fine specimen is brightly colored and nicely centered, providing visual appeal equivalent to an even higher rating.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
