1909-11 T206 Lenox-Black Walter Johnson (Hands At Chest) SGC 40 VG 3 - Only Four SGC-Graded Examples! Marvelous portrait captures the calm before the storm unleashed by the Big Train's rocket right arm. Even Ty Cobb called it, "the most powerful arm ever turned loose in a ball park." Walter Johnson is honored twice in the T206 series, the golden tobacco era's most celebrated issue. This is his "Hands at Chest" pose. Usually, presenting a T206 card of Walter is all that is necessary to get bidder interest, but this specimen amplifies the appeal dramatically with the ultra-rare "Lenox Cigarettes" advertisement printed in black on the reverse.

Graded SGC 40 VG 3. There are only four Lenox Cigarettes backed Johnson/Pitching cards noted on the SGC census. This is one of two graded VG with none higher! T206 fans, Walter Johnson fans, back collectors--almost everyone needs this rarity.
