1906 WG3 Fan Craze National League Playing Cards Complete Set (54) - #1 on the PSA Set Registry! Set GPA: 9.0. Rank: #1 on the "All-Time Finest" list on the PSA Set Registry! Certainly no one realized what a significant addition to the hobby the Fan Craze Company out of Cincinnati, OH would become when they hit the market in 1906. The set features some of the finest portraits found on any card production, the work of noted photographer Charles Conlon. The player roster includes stars from the turn-of-the-century in the swan song of their careers plus many just beginning to establish themselves, over a dozen finding their names added to the scroll of the Baseball Hall of Fame. Complete at 54 player cards, there are no fewer than 13 HoFers including Honus Wagner, Roger Bresnahan, Joe Kelley, Vic Willis, Mordecai Brown, John McGraw and a young, rarely seen on a card Miller Huggins. We can only surmise the recipient of this game didn't seem to be too fond of baseball on a table top. The set is 100% NM-MT to GEM MT with only five cards grading just below "Mint." How does one resist the temptation to bid on an almost 110-year old set at the highest levels of preservation. Only nine of the 54 cards shows another example grading higher! Includes: PSA Gem MT 10: 4 cards, w/Ames, Clarke, McIntyre and Thomas; PSA Mint 9: 45 cards, w/Beaumont, Beckley, Bergen, Bresnahan, Brown, Browne, Casey, Chance, Corcoran, Dahlen, Donlin, Dooin, Duffy, Dunleavy, Ewing, Fraser, Hanlon, Howard, Huggins, Kelley, Leach, Lumley, Lundgren, Maloney, McGann, McGinnity, McGraw, Nichols, O'Neill, Pfeffer, Pittinger, Pulliam, Reulbach, Ritchey, Seymour, Sheckard, J. Taylor, Tenney, Theilman, Wagner, Weimer, Wicker, Willis, Wiltse; PSA NM-MT+ 8.5: 2 cards, w/I. Young and Kling; PSA NM-MT 8: 3 cards, w/Phillippe, Doolan, Overall and L. Taylor. Also included is a PSA Mint 9 Header Card!
