1904 Fan Craze Baseball High Grade Complete Set (51) - #1 on the SGC Set Registry. NOTE: For clarity, there are 52 graded cards if you include the SGC 96 Mint 9 Header card which is not considered part of the set.

Ranking: SGC Set Registry #1 with a 97.3 average grade. Certainly no one realized what a significant addition to the hobby the Fan Craze Company out of Cincinnati, OH would become when they hit the market. The set features some of the finest portraits of noted photographer Charles Conlon and a player roster which included both stars from the turn-of-the-century in the swan song of their careers to many just beginning to establish themselves. The Fan Craze playing card sets feature what many collectors consider the finest portrait poses of turn-of-the-century ballplayers ever produced on baseball cards. This 51-card complete set includes over a dozen names scrolled on the wall of the Baseball Hall of Fame.

The original recipient of this game didn't seem to be fond of baseball played on a table top and appears to have never been handled. Remarkably, the set grades 100% MINT to GEM MINT--how often does one read that statement? This virtually unimprovable presentation includes: Graded - SGC 98 Gem 10: 34 cards, Altrock, Barrett, Bradley, Jack Chesbro, Jimmie Collins, Sam Crawford, Criger, Cross, Davis, Dinneen, Donovan, Dougherty, Elberfield, Ferris, Flick, Freeman, Glade, Clark Griffith, Hickman, Jacobson, Jones, Wee Willie Keeler, Connie Mack, McAleer, McGuire, Owen, Parent, Eddie Plank, Stahl, Stone, Sudhoff, Rube Waddell, White and Cy Young; SGC 96 Mint 9: 18 cards, Bay, Chief Bender, Bernhardt, Cross, Holmes, Howell, Isbell, Walter Johnson, Addie Joss, Napoleon Lajoie, Moore, Mullen, Patten, Schreckengost, Turner, Bobby Wallace, Winters and Header Card.
