    Description

1888 N162 Goodwin "Champions" Ed Andrews SGC 80 EX/NM 6 - Pop One, Second Highest. An artful portrait of the Philadelphia Quakers outfielder is characteristic of this gorgeous 19th century set, though the stunningly fine condition of this particular example certainly is not. The centering is a sliver from perfect and the portrait of Andrews is beyond compare. The tremendous print quality quickly makes one over look the small edge roughness and one edge "nick" in the left border. This is how all EX/NM cards should look. SGC has graded 45 examples of this card. This is the only one to grade at the 80 EX/NM 6 level with only one recorded higher. We seriously doubt even that card posses better presence as than this head turner. Throughout this auction you will find a selection of some of the finest N162 Goodwin Champions graded by SGC.
