    2010 Leaf Sports Icons Shoeless Joe Jackson Signed Cut Signature Trading Card. Hoards of trading card and autograph collectors alike swarmed the Leaf corporate booth at the National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago this year to sneak a peek at this impressive redemption card, the only Shoeless Joe Jackson cut signature model ever released by a major trading card company. So when one lucky Leaf collector pulled The Golden Ticket, so to speak, to win ownership of this intense rarity, it was the hobby equivalent of a lottery win. Heritage is thrilled and honored to have been chosen by the lucky winner to present the card at auction to the collecting world at large.

    We all know that the brilliant but troubled conspirator in the 1919 World Series "Black Sox" scandal was functionally illiterate, and that his autograph is consequently extraordinarily rare. While there are a few scattered instances of Jackson's autograph appearing on baseballs and in autograph albums, he tended to avoid the difficulty and embarrassment of signing when possible. As such, we find most of the available Jackson autographs on official/legal documents which required a genuine signature. Clearly this representation, applied with the disjointed scribble of a child that typifies Jackson exemplars, was trimmed from some form of official paperwork as the printed "...rance Recognizan..." text above his name would indicate. The autograph survives with impressive 8/10 boldness.

    The card itself has been afforded the meticulous level of care it merits since its creation, presenting in flawless NRMT-MT condition. The undisputed king of the baseball cut signature card realm, this special rarity will singlehandedly establish its owner as the leading hobbyist in that important hobby subgenre.
