    Description

Signed 1974 Topps Thurman Munson #340 PSA/DNA Mint 9. Very rare signed 1974 Topps card from New York Yankees catcher and team captain Thurman Munson. Munson's career was prematurely ended by his tragic death. His life was cut short when he was killed piloting his private plane on August 2, 1979. In 1989 the city of Canton, OH named their new ballpark "Thurman Munson Memorial Stadium." The card is a great close to NM-MT example, the strikingly nice black marker signature has been graded "Mint 9." Encapsulated PSA/DNA Mint 9 Auto.
