    Description

Signed 1962 Topps Mantle/Maris - AL Home Run Leaders #53 PSA/DNA Mint 9. Maris did the unthinkable when he surpassed Babe Ruth's single-season home run record with 61 in '61. On the Topps card that seemingly celebrates the legendary home run race of 1961 was card #53 from the 1962 series that showcased the '61 American League Home Run Leaders. Offered is a very special example that is a crease-free excellent-mint condition but the real prizes are the close to flawless autographs of both Roger Maris and Mickey mantle that grace a sizeable portion of the front. The black ball-point pen signatures look like they were written yesterday and have been graded PSA/DNA Auto Mint 9. A fantastic entry and a great addition for the Yankees collector.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
