    Description

Signed 1953 - 1955 Topps Baseball Card Collection (150+). Although 1952 Topps usually takes home the prize for favorite Topps set of all time, the 1953 set has more than a few admirers. The finely detailed artwork of each player captured the imagination of countless young boys over half a century ago. The following two years were no slouch either, with excellent designs and player selection. This lot consists of over 150 cards from the 1953, 1954 and 1955 Topps series, each autographed by the featured player. Nineteen cards have been encapsulated by SGC Authentic. You'll find HoFers and stars including Lowrey, McDougald, Sievers, Mize, Sauer, Kell, Reynolds, Wertz, Pierce, Wilhelm, Groat, Kluszewski, Jablonski, Runnels, Hudson, Irvin, Haddix, Dropo, Mathews, Herman, Sievers, Rhodes, Sievers, Herman, Newhouser, Groat, Power, Spahn, Haddix, Moon, Lopat, Zernial, Milliken, Kluszewski, Schofield, Mathews and Bauer. The cards grade from PR to VG with a few trimmed. Approximately 85% of the cards are signed in blue or black ballpoint pen, with the remainder signed in marker. On average, autographs grade 7-10/10 with just a couple lesser. Five cards have been personalized. Please see our web site for a detailed list of the contents of this collection. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
