    Description

Signed 1952 Topps Baseball SGC Authentic Collection (53). Usually voted the most beautiful set Topps ever produced, 1952 was not the year that started it all for the company, but is the one that put it on the map. For collectors of signed cards, there is no comparison to this king of sets, as the autographs only add to the artistic beauty. In this exemplary lot, all 53 cards are signed and encapsulated by SGC Authentic, including several Hall of Fame players. Includes: Encapsulated SGC Authentic - #'s 2 Runnels (2), 13, 23, 26 Irvin, 29 Kluszewski (2), 33 Spahn, 35 Sauer, 43, 45, 49 Sain, 52, 54, 59 Roberts, 64, 65 Slaughter, 89, 91 Schoendienst, 94, 96, 98, 103, 104, 106 Vernon, 118, 122 Jensen, 129 Mize, 133, 138, 139, 144, 149, 150, 170, 172, 179, 203, 212, 214, 219 (2), 225, 226, 237, 246 Kell, 248, 256, 258, 269, 270 (2) and 289. Cards grade PR to EX (a few trimmed). Approximately 70% of the cards are signed in blue or black ballpoint pen, with the remainder signed in marker. On average, autographs grade 7-9/10 with just a couple lesser. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
