Description
Satchel Paige Signed Vintage Photograph.One of the beloved, yet bedeviling, Negro League players of all time, "Ol' Satch" was known for doing things his own way and in his own time. He was known to make the rest of the fielders sit on the grass while he struck out the side. Always flamboyant, he would not get his opportunity to play in the major leagues until very late in life, at age forty-two. Still, he made two All-Star teams in 1952 and 1953. This 8x10" vintage photograph pictures Paige on the St. Louis Browns, and is signed in blue felt-tip on his pants. Please note that there is some smudging exhibited in the signature. The reverse of the image is black aside from "Paige" written in the upper left corner in black ballpoint ink. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.
