1989 Perez-Steele Celebration Postcard Set Signed by 5. One of the most beautiful Hall of Fame postcard sets, the Perez-Steele Celebration set was issued in a single series and featured forty-four Cooperstown inhabitants. It was an especially popular set amongst autograph collectors as the classic portraits set atop action shots took to signatures like miniature paintings. As more and more athletes from this set pass on, partially signed sets will continue to grow in popularity. This particular set includes five signed cards: Yogi Berra, Johnny Bench, Billy Herman, Enos Slaughter and Juan Marichal.

The remainder of the set is also included, and all cards are serial numbered "9,287/10,000." Set comes in the original green display box with slipcase, booklet, certificate and set box. The binder has separated at the hinges but may be repairable. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
