1951 Jackie Robinson Double-Signed Postcard. Robinson promotional photo postcard was likely issued by the Brooklyn Dodgers, and while we've encountered other examples in the past, this is the first double-signed representation. It appears that Robinson was unsatisfied with the boldness of his original 6/10 inscription, reading "To Rocky from Jackie Robinson," trading pens to supply a second, far bolder (9/10) signature just below. Tack holes appear at top and bottom of postcard, and general wear is apparent throughout. Included is Morton 'Rocky' Stone's self-addressed stamped envelope he provided to Robinson for return of the postcard, postmarked to that tumultuous 1951 season that ended with Bobby Thomson's famed "Shot." Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
