    Description

1944 Chief Bender Signed Government Postcard. The Hall of Fame right-hander from Crow Wing County, Minnesota was Connie Mack's most trusted ace during the first great Philadelphia Athletics dynasty, but his Hall of Fame induction just months before his death in 1954 has made it difficult for many autograph collectors of the theme to locate quality examples. Here we present a 10/10 blue ink specimen, dated "5/26/44" and reading, "Sincerely Yours, 'Chief' Bender." Postcard was mailed from the City of Brotherly Love that loved him like a brother. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
