    Description

1936 Lou Gehrig Signed Postcard, PSA/DNA NM-MT 8. The Iron Horse was enjoying his second American League Most Valuable Player season when he mailed this postcard from the Yankees team lodging in Cleveland to a fan back home in New York. "Sorry Ralph," he writes, "I haven't any photos. Best Wishes, Lou Gehrig." The Hall of Fame first baseman likewise addresses the postcard in the same 9/10 blue fountain pen ink that characterizes the message. The mailer is postmarked "May 17, 1936," the day of an eight to four victory over the Indians. General handling/mailing wear is no visual distraction. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
