    Description

Late 1940's Babe Ruth Signed Newspaper Photograph, PSA/DNA Gem Mint 10. Though stricken by terminal cancer, the Babe never faltered in his generosity to his legions of fans, continuing to pad his considerable lead as the most prolific signer of the twentieth century's first half (and yet supply still trails demand by a large margin). Here we find an unimprovable blue fountain pen signature on a clipped newspaper photograph that quite convincingly mimics the appearance of a period trading card both in its design and 2x3" dimensions. Clipping is mounted on blank card stock for support and is housed in a PSA/DNA slab with the service's top rating. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA, Gem Mint 10. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
