Circa 1930 Babe Ruth Signed Photograph. "Photobombing" this pair of pugilists with a goofy expression at center is Artie McGovern, a former flyweight boxer who shot to fame as the trainer who lifted the Babe out of his 1925 slump to reclaim his title as the sport's most terrifying slugger. We haven't tracked down the identity of John Gilchrist, who smiles through a Ruth right cross, but we all know the man at far right, whose blue fountain pen ink signature projects with 8.5/10 boldness. The image measures 8x10",w ith a few scattered wrinkles and hairline tears that cause little distraction. A museum-quality framing job expands the final dimensions to 18x21". Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

I am completely satisfied, more to the point, absolutely ecstatic, about not only the proceeds but the wonderful professional manner every aspect of my little consignment was handled.
