    Description

1950's Satchel Paige Signed Photograph, PSA/DNA Gem Mint 10. One of the beloved, yet bedeviling, Negro League players of all time, "Ol' Satch" was known for doing things his own way and in his own time. He was known to make the rest of the fielders sit on the grass while he struck out the side. Always flamboyant, he would not get his opportunity to play in the major leagues until very late in life, at age forty-two. Still, he made two All-Star teams in 1952 and 1953. This photograph pictures Paige on the St. Louis Browns, and is signed in impressively bold, blue ink. Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA, Gem Mint 10.
