1943 Mordecai Brown Signed Photograph. After losing two fingers in a farming accident, Mordecai "Three Fingers" Brown discovered that he was not only able to still pitch, but could actually get incredible movement on the ball that allowed him to eventually land a Major League Baseball career for fourteen years. Although not an overpowering strikeout pitcher like Walter Johnson or Cy Young, Brown was able to get such movement on his ball that it led to easy ground ball outs. This enabled "Miner" to notch a career ERA barely above 2.00 with 239 wins.

The offered 8x10" photographpictures Brown with an unidentified man in a lobby, marked "Martin's Photo Shop" on the back, from Terre Haute, Indiana. The original mailing envelope is also included. Brown has signed in black fountain pen in 8/10 quality and added the date "2/4/43." Picture exhibits some moderate creasing that does not detract from the image or signature. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph).
