1936 New York Yankees Italians Signed Photograph. The pride of Little Italy, this trio of pinstriped paisans further endeared the Yankees squad to the cultural melting pot of New York City with their World Championship talents. Here the rookie Joe DiMaggio, Hall of Fame second baseman Tony Lazzeri and Frankie Crosetti pose with team owner Colonel Jake Ruppert, each later signing his image in black fountain pen ink. Signature quality ranges from a conservative 6/10 to 9/10. Verso of photo bears six more Yankee signatures: Ruffing, Broaca, Rolfe, Murphy, Hadley and Johnson. These autographs are a consistent 9+/10. Photo exhibits some creasing and paper loss at the borders, but these issues do not affect the autographs, nor do they detract significantly from the visual appeal of the piece. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication. Guide Value or Estimate: $800 - $1,200.
