    Description

1934 Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig & Jimmie Foxx Signed Tour of Japan Photograph. Direct on the heels of a May 2014 Heritage Auctions result of $56,763 for another signed photograph of these three sluggers engaged in the sport's most famous foreign excursion comes this one-of-a-kind relic, a snapshot developed by a fan in Japan and presented for signing to the Tour's greatest stars. Ruth and Gehrig autograph the 2.25x3.25" image in 10/10 black fountain pen ink, with Foxx just one shade lighter. Rounding out the cast of signers are umpire John Quinn and translator Saturo Suzuki, in 6/10 and 8/10 ink respectively.

The photo itself is well-registered in sepia tones and professionally matted and framed to dimensions of approximately 10x10". Memorabilia from this most consequential of foreign baseball tours is highly and properly coveted, and this unique relic is among the finest we've encountered. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
