    Description

Signed 1983 50th Anniversary All-Star Game FDC Group (9). For the 50th anniversary of the All-Star Game, Comiskey Park saw the American League put on a dazzling performance -- going up 9-1 in the third en route to a 13-3 rout. Special festivities also included an Old-Timers game with former players. Numerous sponsors in conjunction with the US post office issued numerous first day covers (FDC) for collectors that featured the new Babe Ruth 20-cent stamp. Offered is a collection of nine FDCs issued by Big League Collectibles. Each 9-1/2x4" envelope has gold lettering promoting the All-Star game, first day of issue stamp and National Collectors Convention, trading card, Ruth stamp with Jul 6, 1983 cancellation and a deep black ink signature of the featured player. The group includes: Ben Chapman, Tony Cuccinello, Bill Dickey, Woody English, Rick Ferrell, Charles Gehringer, Carl Hubbell and Hal Schumacher. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.
