Early 1940's Cuban & Negro League Signed Autograph Book with Dihigo, Dandridge. Some of the greatest baseball talents of the twentieth century never got their shot at the Majors, serving instead as diamonds in the rough of the Cuban and Negro Leagues. This important autograph album documents over one hundred members of the former, with a few scattered names from the Negro Leagues of this country. Most notable is the page claimed solely by the great Martin Dihigo, whose 9+/10 black fountain pen ink includes the date (in Spanish) of January 13, 1942. Ray Dandridge, Adolfo Luque (twice) and the Kansas City Monarchs William Dismukes appear within the volume as well. Surely there are hidden gems for the historian with a background in these underdocumented leagues, so we invite interested parties to examine the book during lot viewing at our Dallas offices. All autographs rate 9/10 or better, unchanged from the dates of their application. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
