    Description

Circa 1940 Joe Kelley Signed Page. Enshrined at Cooperstown over six decades after his final appearance in a Major League uniform, and twenty-three years after his 1948 passing, Kelley has been frustrating Hall of Fame autograph collectors since the dawn of the modern hobby. He is best remembered today as the leading offensive power of the great Baltimore Orioles dynasty of the 1890's which featured such fellow future Hall of Famers as John McGraw, Wilbert Robinson, Dan Brouthers, Hughie Jennings and Wee Willie Keeler. Here we present a beautiful black fountain pen example of Kelley's coveted signature, applied to an unlined page and tastefully matted and framed to final dimensions of 9x14". A stunningly rare 9/10 autograph, one of just six verified examples in any format to appear at a major auction house in the past dozen years. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
