Circa 1930 Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Knute Rockne, Jack Dempsey, Tom Heeney & Tommy Loughran Signed Stationery. Whatever event was being held at the Westchester Biltmore Country Club the day this 5x7" stationery was signed, it surely had big name drawing power. Reading like a Who's Who guide to the best athletes of the late 1920's/early 1930's, at the top of the list is Notre Dame coach Knute Rockne, arguably the greatest coach in American football history. The football legend is followed by stellar signatures of the two greatest Yankees of the era, Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. "The Sultan of Swat" and "The Iron Horse" led the Yankees to three World Championships including the greatest team ever assembled, the 1927 "Murderer's Row" lineup. Ending the list are three of the top fighters of the era in Tom Heeney, Tommy Loughran and Jack Dempsey. All signatures are in pencil and average 9/10 or better. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
