Circa 1909 President Theodore Roosevelt Signed Portrait Display. Masterful artistic portrait appears to be a sepia-toned photograph until closer inspection reveals markings at lower left stating, "Copyright 1909 By Joseph De Camp." This date, and the apparent Oval Office setting, would suggest the work was commissioned at the end of Roosevelt's second term as President. His 9/10 black fountain pen signature below is applied to the backing board to which the print is affixed, the full dimensions of the piece concluding at 11x16". Defects to the backing board are hidden by the mat, leaving typical age-toning the only condition issue that will be apparent after a simple framing. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
