1996 Ted Williams Inscribed & Signed Book to Stan Musial. They racked up 6,284 hits and 996 homers between them, and each ended an All-Star Game with a walk-off blast (in 1941 and 1955 respectively). Though they met only once outside of exhibition contests, in the 1946 World Series, their shared brilliance garnered a mutual respect we find documented in The Splendid Splinter's wonderful inscription: "To Stan the Man, As great a hitter as there ever was. Best to [you] & the Queen, Ted Williams." One must assume that the "Queen" was a nickname for Musial's wife Lillian. Dust jacket is a bit rumpled but otherwise book and all writing is NRMT-MT. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
Letter of provenance from the Musial family.
