    Description

1976 Danny Frisella Signed San Diego Padres Contract Also Signed by Buzzie Bavasi, Chub Feeney, Lee MacPhail, Bing Devine & Michael Port, Plus Death Note. A successful reliever with five different ballclubs, Danny Frisella passed away in a freak dune buggy accident in 1977 at the age of thirty. On offer here is his "Uniform Player's Contract" with the San Diego Padres which agreed to pay him $41,000 for the 1976 season during which he went on to register a 5-2 record with a 3.13 ERA and ten saves. In April, the Padres traded him to the Cardinals and in June the Cardinals traded him to the Brewers. The last page of the contract contains ten NRMT blue ballpoint signatures, including Frisella (twice), Padres vice president Buzzie Bavasi (twice), Padres executive Michael Port, Cardinals executive vice president and general manager Bing Devine, N.L. president Chub Feeney (thrice signed, one is authentic and two are stamps), and A.L. President Lee MacPhail.

The lot also includes notes penned by Brewers executive Tony Siegle on his personal team letterhead detailing the horrific incident as it was being relayed to him over the phone. "Est. 2:25 pm Sat Jan 1. Age 30. Killed - dune buggy. Went off the road...Flipped D.O.A." Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.
