    Description

1967 Luke Appling Signed Kansas City Athletics Managerial Contract. The Hall of Fame shortstop posted a ten and thirty record during his time at the reins of the 1967 A's, and this is the contract that earned him the role. Not surprisingly, the club went a different direction for the 1968 season, so Appling's skipperdom begins and ends here. He signs the third page "Lucius B. Appling, Jr." beneath the autograph of team representative Ed Lopat. American League president Joe Cronin signs the final page. All autographs 9+/10. Contract exhibits original storage folds but no other issues of note. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.
