    Description

1967 Jim "Catfish" Hunter Signed Kansas City Athletics Contract. The hapless Athletics, in their last year before moving west to Oakland, was spared a possible one hundred loss season through permission to skip a make-up of its 162nd game in 1967. This twenty-one year old rookie was a rare bright spot, posting a sub-three ERA in over two hundred fifty innings pitched. Hunter was paid $13,500 for these fine services, a total to which he agrees with a 10/10 blue ink signature on the third page of the presented Uniform Player's Contract. Former Yankee Ed Lopat signs as the A's executive VP, and Joe Cronin as the president of the American League. Their autographs are likewise flawless. Document exhibits original storage folds, otherwise NRMT. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
