1966 Pittsburgh Pirates Team Signed American Airlines Letterhead.

UPDATE: This lot has a full LOA from PSA/DNA.

From a time when professional athletes flew commercially with everyone else and you could easily approach your idols at airports and aboard flights for their autographs. In 1966, one enterprising fan got the entire Pittsburgh Pirates team to sign during their air travel.

Gorgeous "In flight...American Airlines" letterhead is signed by twenty-eight Bucs including Hall of Famers Roberto Clemente, Willie Stargell, and Bill Mazeroski. Other stars in attendance include Don Hoak, Vern Law, Elroy Face, Bob Veale (CH), Steve Blass, Gene Alley, Don Clendenon, and Gene Michael.

This was also the year that Clemente was named the N.L. MVP. Roberto also added "Best Wishes" at the top in his distinctive cursive. Autographs appear large in bold in overall 9.5/10 pencil. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
