1965 Houston Astrodome Old Timers Game Multi-Signed Photograph with Jimmie Foxx. The infant Astrodome marked its first season of existence with a gathering of many of the greatest living ballplayers, an event recounted by this special piece crafted especially for gathering signatures. It's actually the mat of the photo that bears the autographs, forty in total. We've been informed that this is one of approximately ten to include the legendary Jimmie Foxx, but he's far from the only iconic figure to provide his John Hancock. Other notables: Heinie Manush, Bill Dickey, Burleigh Grimes, Satchel Paige, Carl Hubbell (twice), Joe DiMaggio, Dizzy Dean, Ernie Lombardi, Lefty Gomez, Ted Lyons, Enos Slaughter, Lefty Grove, Bob Feller and a very light Luke Appling. Unless otherwise noted, signatures rate 7/10 or better. Some minor staining at lower right is noted only for the sake of accuracy and affects none of the autographs or the overall aesthetic. Framed dimensions are 12.5x15.5". Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
