    Description

1962 Roger Maris Signed Contract for Hartland Statue. The biggest star in baseball the year after his historic Babe-busting sixty-one home run season, Maris was an obvious choice for immortalization as a small plastic figurine. Presented is the contract that made this highly collectible action figure a reality, as the Bronx Bomber accepts $500 in royalties to lend his image to the class of characters that included Ruth, Mantle, Williams and more. Single page agreement on "Hartland Plastics, Inc." letterhead is signed at close by the president of the company and Maris in 10/10 blue ink. The page has original storage folds, otherwise NRMT. Maris' autograph value continues to rise, but his appearance on a contract, particularly one that should thrill Hartland collectors, and dating from the height of his fame, sets this one well above the rest. LOA from PSA/DNA.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
