1954 Roberto Clemente Scouting Report by Pittsburgh Pirates. Pittsburgh Pirates scout Howie Hash deserves a statue in Steeltown for his immeasurable contribution to the city's sporting history, as he heaps praise upon a twenty-year old Puerto Rican outfielder with the Montreal Royals of the International League. He gives top marks for the star outfielder's arm and accuracy, and an "A-" for the batting ability which would ultimately account for 3,000 Major League hits. Without this document, who knows where this tragic hero might have ended up? Perhaps he stays with the Brooklyn Dodgers organization and breaks up Larsen's perfect game in 1956! One could certainly argue that this ranks among the most noteworthy Clemente artifacts to reach the public auction block. Card measures 4x6", in fine condition. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
