1952 Jose Fernandez Signed Player's Contract & Mailing Envelope. The right-hand man of recent Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Alexander Pompez, Fernandez served as manager of the Negro League's New York Cubans for two decades. Here we encounter his scarce signature upon a player's contract for the Cuban Marianao club. His blue ink offering is 10/10, and the 8.5x13" single page presents original storage fold and apparent tack hole at upper left, otherwise NRMT. Also offered within this lot is a mailing envelope (no contents) for the "Cuban Stars B.B.C." addressed and signed by Fernandez (9/10) in 1935. Envelope shows expected wear, but autograph is unaffected. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication. Guide Value or Estimate: $600 - $800.
