1951 Mickey Mantle Signed Government Postcard with "Commerce, OK" Postmark, PSA/DNA NM-MT 8. Decades before he would revolutionize the autograph world and still years before he would be the biggest star in the biggest city in the world, a twenty-year old Mickey Mantle put pen to postcard two months after wrapping up his rocky rookie season. Signing "To Irwin Mickey Mantle" with 8/10 blue fountain pen in a childlike hand that is far cry from the fluid banana M's that compose the vast majority of his autos.

If a rookie-year Mantle signature simply doesn't do enough for you, maybe the the "Commerce, OKLA." postmark on the reverse of the 5.5x3.25" government postcard will push you over the edge. Given that much of his year was spent in New York (at a publicly available address), all of the GPCs that have passed through our doors feature NYC postmarks, whereas this exemplar presents stamping from the hometown of the "Commerce Comet." General mailing/handling wear exhibited. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA, NM-MT 8.
