1948 The Babe Ruth Story Signed by Babe Ruth. This volume, and a movie by the same name, were released in the final months of the Babe's life, but not even impending death could stop the baseball legend from tending to his legions of fans. This softcover version of the popular autobiography is inscribed in 9/10 blue fountain pen ink on the title page, "To My Little Pal Petey From Babe Ruth." Some toning of the page does nothing to diminish the strength of the inscription, nor does general handling wear of the publication itself.
