    Description

1948 Honus Wagner Signed Pittsburgh Pirates Coaching Contract. A forty-ninth season in the Pirates dugout was secured with the signing of this Uniform Employee's Contract, paying the legendary shortstop $5,000 for his services for the 1948 campaign. The boilerplate four-page agreement is autographed by general manager H. Roy Hanney and "John H. Wagner," each is 9/10 or better ink. National League president Ford Frick signs the cover with equivalent boldness. Original storage folds are evident, but no other issues of note. An exciting artifact from this inaugural class Hall of Famer. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.
